- Using the word processor enter the text below.
- From the spreadsheet select cells A1:G10. Copy the selected cells.
- Return to the word processor and paste the spreadsheet data between the second and third paragraph.
- Copy the chart from the spreadsheet.
- Paste the chart between the last two paragraphs.
A Comparison of Declared Majors of Students as Entering Freshmen and at Graduation
The State College and University System tracks data on the students enrolled at state institutions. The data includes information on transfer information, grades, prerequisite requirements, age, race, gender, majors, and graduation rates.
Many students enter college without having an idea of what area they would like to major in. By the time they graduate they must have a major to receive their degree. The following is a data analysis of declared majors of students as entering freshmen and as graduates.

The undecided majors have all been declared by graduation and some students have changed majors. To gain a better understanding of the changes in the three main majors consider the chart below:

It is obvious that Education is the major with the largest percentage gain
of the three main majors.
2. Create a spreadsheet and generate a report
- Create the spreadsheet shown below. All totals and averages are calculated.
- Create a bar chart that displays Average Sales by Quarter.
- Create a column chart to display the Total Sales by Quarter.
- Using the word processor, create a document to report the data and charts created in the spreadsheet.
